A mixed-use development site located at the former Stella
D’oro Bakery at 184-190 West 237th
Street, in the Kingsbridge/Riverdale neighborhood
of the North Bronx, was sold in an all cash
transaction valued at $18,750,000.
This level 5.2 acre (225,227 square foot) site is bounded by
Broadway to the west, the Major Deegan Expressway to the east and West 238th Street.
The site is currently occupied by a two-story factory building and a one-story
garage/retail complex, totaling 167,000 square feet of above grade space. The
location offers superb visibility, excellent surface street access, frontages
on the MTA subway #1 train and service on multiple bus lines.
“We had tons of interest in the site, for almost every
conceivable end use. The site will be
redeveloped into a 162, 000 square foot retail shopping center, anchored by a
national Wholesale Club,” said Massey Knakal Director of Sales Karl Brumback
who exclusively represented the sellers in this transaction.
